Twin Tier Tire was founded by Harold "Pete" Bohn prior to WWII. He was soon joined by his daughter and son-in-law Shirley and H. Carleton "Gyp" Eldrett. After serving in both WWII and the Korean Conflict Gyp borrowed $50 and with that capital and an old pickup truck he built the business we know today. Running the tire presses through the night, sleeping between 30 minute cycles, and then selling them the next day he began a lifetime of honest hard work. Always reinvesting in the company and sticking to a belief in dealing fairly with his customers he was able to build a sound business with a reputation for honesty. Gyp and shirley passed away in 2003 and 2006 but Jeff Barlow, grandson of the founder, has worked in the business since 1990 and does his best every day to walk out the principles that were laid down by his Uncle.

Twin Tier Tire services customers from Olean to Liberty NY and from Rochester to Milton Pa. We have a second commercial location in Binghamton NY. We have been a BANDAG retreader since 1976 producing and selling over 16,000 truck retreads per year. We take care of fleets of all sizes and it is likely that many of the trucks you see each day are running on our tires. We stock a million dollars of tire inventory and have the best trained technitions in the area. We employee more than 45 of your friends and neighbors and desire to be an asset to our community. Please join us the third saturday of each September for our annual Charity Carnival, when our parking lot is filled with carnival booths run by local charities.
